Michele Lawrence is Head of Safeguarding and Workforce Development in the Chief Public Health Nurse Office at OHID, shaping national safeguarding policy and supporting over 3 million health and care staff to increase their focus on prevention.

With more than 30 years’ experience spanning nursing, midwifery, health visiting and Public Health, she has led work in antenatal screening, immunisation, outbreak management, and workforce development.

Michele is also a school governor, active volunteer and passionate advocate for equity and prevention in healthcare.
